About

Alexis is a compassionate practitioner of Chinese-style Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She received her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) from the New England School of Acupuncture (now MCPHS University) in Newton, MA in 2016. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (Lic. Ac.) as certified by the Board of Registration in Medicine’s Committee on Acupuncture of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and a board-certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) by the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM).Alexis graduated from Colby College in Waterville, ME in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and History, along with a minor in German. She served for 2 years as an AmeriCorps Volunteer Teacher and then became a full-time GED teacher at Project Hope in Dorchester/Roxbury, MA.During this time, she realized how deeply the health concerns of her students were impacting their ability to concentrate and stay in school. After contracting Lyme Disease herself and struggling for years with misdiagnosis and lengthy, difficult treatments, Alexis finally found relief in acupuncture and herbal medicine. These experiences created the desire to share the benefits of complementary medicine with others and inspired her to pursue Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a career. Alexis strives to help each of her patients improve their overall health and wellbeing, live with less physical and emotional pain, and reach their full potential.
